  7. Hi Alison,

Thanks so much for the comment on my blog last week! Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you! Congrats on still going with the challenge! I had to drop out; too much going on this year. But I'm impressed by those still plugging away at it!

I loved this post. As a quote collector, I've read many of them before, but it's always good to have a reminder that "if we can dream it, we can do it!"

Have an awesome day and thanks for the encouragement!

    Cheers,
    Jen

  9. I absolutely LOVE all of these! Thanks so much for sharing them. My two favorite are Ray Bradbury and the one from Finding Forrester. So awesome. And for the record I was totally listening to Don't Stop Believing when I read that quote.

  13. Oooooh, I love the Ray Bradbury one as well.

My two favorite quotes aren't so much inspirational as they are little reminders.

The first comes from Stephen King: "You must not come lightly to the blank page."

I don't think it means you're not supposed to have any fun writing; it's more that you should take yourself seriously and give yourself some respect as a writer, published or not. This is what you want to do. Who you want to be. That's a big deal :)

The second is from Anton Chekhov: "Don't tell me the moon is shining; show me the glint of light on broken glass."

Sure, it's the old "show, don't tell" rule, but it's written beautifully and it helps to jump start my writing when I get stuck feeling dull and boring.

    Great post!
